The Rampage return home after having their franchise tying best 7 game win streak snapped last night in Cedar Park falling to the Stars 5-2. Another rough night vs the Stars as the Rampage couldn't stay out of the penalty box and fell into an early hole trailing 2-0 after 1 period.  Mikkel Boedker would pull the team to within one, only to see the Stars add a power play goal less than 3 minutes later. Again, the Rampage would pull to within one goal on a power play tally by Matt Beaudoin, his team leading 10th goal of the season. But it wouldn't be enough as Texas would score their 2nd power play goal of the night with just over a minute left and then add an empty netter in the closing seconds.

The Rampage have lost 6 games this season. 3 of those losses have come at the hands of the Stars. There is kryptonite in the water in Cedar Park and I think they bring some with them when they visit San Antonio.

With the addition of Petr Prucha, the Rampage had a logjam of veteran forwards. Before the game last night, the Rampage released Tim Stapleton from his PTO. I'm still trying to digest this. I get it from an organizational standpoint. But the Rampage fan in me is far from ok with this. Tim was a playmaker and made his linemates better. His speed and skill will be missed.

Today's game is another "Family Funday". Bring the kids out for a pre-game skate, get their faces painted, and enjoy some Rampage hockey. See you all at the rink and LET'S GO RAMPAGE!!
