The Rampage return to the ice after a well deserved 8 day holiday break. Tonight they take on the Houston Aeros at the AT&T Center. The game will be televised on FSSW+ in the San Antonio area. It also features the return of "Ugly Christmas Sweater" Night. Anyone showing up wearing an ugly holiday sweater will get a free ticket. So bust those things out and show up and get rowdy.
So far this season, the Rampage have posted a 3-1 record vs. Houston. In the last game, Casey Wellman beat the Rampage with 4 goals, including the first 3 in the 1st period. Wellman, however, was a scratch last night in the Aeros game vs Texas with an undisclosed lower body injury.
Tonight also will feature the return of goalie Matt Climie, who was re-assigned to the Rampage after the Coyotes victory in Dallas last night. Not sure if he will start or backup tonight, but his return should help boost the Rampage's struggling GAA the last 2 weeks. Mikkel Boedker remains with the Coyotes as a replacement for Taylor Pyatt who went on IR after having his face remodeled in a scrap last week.
I hope everyone had a great holiday break. It's time to get back to business. Between injuries to the Rampage and the Coyotes, the depth (or lack thereof) will surely be tested in the coming weeks.
See you all at the rink and LET'S GO RAMPAGE!!!
