The  reloaded Rampage take on Peoria for the second consecutive night as the rodeo road trip continues. Last night, the Rampage got goals from Greg Rallo and Scott Timmins and another stellar goaltending effort from Dov Grumet-Morris in a 2-1 victory. Former Rampage forward Derek Nesbitt would score the lone Rivermen goal late in the 3rd period, but DGM and the Rampage defense slammed the door on the final 3 minutes for the huge regulation win.

Coupled with the Rampage win, Chicago, Houston, Abbotsford, and Lake Erie all lost in regulation. As a result, the Rampage were able to leapfrog both Peoria and Abbotsford to take the 6th spot and pulled to within one point of Houston, sitting in 5th. Chicago, in 4th place in the conference, is just 3 points ahead, though they have a game in hand.

Tonight, the Rampage welcome back defenseman Tyson Strachan and forward Michal Repik. Repik was due to land at 4:30 local time, so it is unknown if he will be available tonight. Also, earlier today the Florida Panthers traded Rampage defenseman Mike Vernace and a 3rd round pick in 2013 to the New York Rangers for Wojtek Wolski. This helps the Rampage on two fronts. First, with Vernace being dealt, he will get some much deserved full time playing time in Connecticut and also alleviates the veteran limit situation that was causing a bit of grief. Second, with the addition of Wolski to the Panthers, Jon Matsumoto was re-assigned to the Rampage today. I have yet to hear any word on his availability for tonight. If I were to guess, he won't be available until tomorrow.

Because of the Repik and Matsumoto additions, Anthony Luciani has been re-assiegned to Cincinnati.

Another huge 2 points on the line tonight with every team but Hamilton in the Western Conference in action. Markstrom will get the start in goal. Stay tuned to my twitter feed @RampageNate for updated on Repik and Mats. Thanks for reading and LETS GO RAMPAGE!!
