The Rampage, looking for a perfect 5-0 road trip, finish up in Houston tonight against a always tough Houston team. The Rampage are coming off a 5-2 win over Chicago. The win was the first vs. the Wolves in Allstate Arena since Nov. 2009. Five different Rampage players tallied goals and Andrew Ebbett (0-2), Petr Prucha (0-2), and Mikkel Boedker (1-1) all stayed hot with multi-point nights. (BOXSCORE)

All news was not good, however, as Al Montoya would leave after a perfect 1st period and not return. Matt Climie came on in relief and started a bit shaky, allowing 2 goals on his first 6 shots faced, but would settle down and pick up his 12th win of the season. There has been no update on Montoya since Wednesday and no callup from Vegas as of this post*.

*Edit: Joe Fallon was called up yesterday from Las Vegas. Had to do some digging but found it on the ECHL site.

News and Notes

- According to Coach Edwards, Alex Picard has been cleared to play. His only issue is conditioning. I expect to see him this weekend.

- With the recent callup of Oliver Ekman-Larsson to Phoenix,  the Rampage are currently at 6 defensemen on the active roster. I have tried getting some information regarding their plans for a possible addition of a blue liner from Phoenix or Vegas, but have gotten no response back. I expect something has already happened or will happen shortly.

Remember, the Rampage return home tomorrow night to take on former long time Rampage forward Joel Perrault and the Manitoba Moose. It's Salute the Badges Night and the team will wear a special jersey to honor those heroes. The jerseys will then be auctioned off after the game with a portion of the  proceeds going to the Alamo Area Fire and Police Memorial (AAFPM). Here is a shot of the jerseys:

So bring out the family and friends and come loud. The boys deserve it! See you at the rink and LET'S GO RAMPAGE!!

  1. Lee Sweatt is another former Rampage player on their roster... I am thinking of wearing his jersey tomorrow night...

  2. Thanks for the update on Al. I know many are coming down hard on him- but he has played some great games for us, and it would be so disappointing if he has reinjured his shoulder.
