The Rampage return home for the first of two home games this week before the All Star break and infamous rodeo road trip take them away from San Antonio for 3 weeks. They face the Abbotsford Heat in a rare weekday morning affair. The Rampage split a 2 game set vs the Heat in Abbotsford earlier this season.

The Rampage are coming off yet another heartbreaking loss to the Stars after surrendering a lead late in the 3rd and losing in the first minute of OT on Greg Rallo's second goal of the game. Alex Picard and Maxim Goncharov would score for the Rampage and Bracken Kearns would pick up 2 assists, but it wouldn't be enough as the Stars would earn the extra point winning 3-2. Matt Climie played a great game stopping 37 of 40 shots, but a late tripping penalty on Mathieu Beaudoin would prove costly.

Today's game can be heard on Ticket 760 AM radio. However, if past procedures still apply, the Jim Rome show will preempt the Rampage on the online feed. So, don't plan on hearing it there.

News and Notes:

- Mathieu Beaudoin will replace Garrett Stafford at this weekends All Star festivities in Hershey.

- Stafford did skate with the team yesterday, wearing the non contact jersey. He did all the drills and looked pretty comfortable until taking a hard hit from Ryan Hollweg on a miscommunication. Apparently, Ryan is colorblind to the color yellow. Stafford was slowed slightly, but did continue.

- Josh Lunden and Viktor Tikhonov skated before and after practice.

- Coach Edwards was very vocal yesterday about practicing hard. He got on the guys 3 or 4 times about coasting, shooting to score, and walking the puck down on the power play. Good to see the guys immediately respond.

- In case you didn't know, Brett MacLean has re-joined the team. Taking his place in Phoenix is Andrew Ebbett. MacLean will be on the top line with Picard and Beaudoin.

Game time is a mere 2 hours away, so until then...see you at the rink and LET'S GO RAMPAGE!!!
