The Rampage play game 3 of their 9 game rodeo road trip this morning in Snowy Oklahoma City. Today's game marks the 7th time these teams have faced off this season. The Rampage won the first four (including in OKC), but OKC has won the last two, both on Rampage home ice. The Barons are an explosive offensive team, led by AHL All Star Alexandre Giroux who has scored 26 goals and has 60 points in just 53 games.

The Rampage sit in a 3 team deadlock for first place with Milwaukee and red hot Houston. Meanwhile, Peoria is just 2 points back and OKC is just 3 back. The West Division is the deepest in the league and any one of 7 teams could make the playoffs and possibly even win the division.

The Rampage head into this game on a 7 game point streak, including back to back wins last weekend over Lake Erie in Cleveland. The Rampage came from behind on Friday night, led by 3rd period goals from Bracken Kearns and Alex Picard less than a minute apart to defeat the Monsters 4-3. Al Montoya got the start but was pulled mid-way through the 2nd period after giving up his 3rd goal on just his 9th shot faced. Matt Climie would pick up the win in relief, stopping all 12 shots he faced. Saturday, the Rampage jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead. But the Monsters would fight back after starter Matt Climie would fall ill during the second intermission. The Rampage held a 3-1 lead going into the 3rd, but Al Montoya would struggle, once again allowing 3 goals on his first 9 shots. Lake Erie would force OT, eventually leading to a shootout. Garrett Stafford scored on the Rampage's first attempt and Montoya slammed the door on all 5 attempts by Lake Erie picking up the win. The Rampage enjoyed multi-point nights from Garrett Stafford (1-1-2) and Ned Lukacevic (1-1-2).

On Monday, the Rampage signed NHL journeyman and former AHL MVP Randy Robitaille to a PTO. Robitaille has over 500 NHL games of experience and in his day was a point+ producer in the AHL, including a 100+ point season in 1999. If he has any gas in the tank, this could be a huge get for Brad Treliving and company. Robitaille will wear #27.

The team will travel to frozen Winnipeg to battle the Moose for a 2 game set this weekend before returning home for a week of practice. They will then head to the Northeast for the final leg of the trip, hitting Syracuse, Hamilton, and Toronto. They make a pit stop in OKC again, before returning home to the Rampage faithful for Military appreciation Night on Feb 26th versus the hated Texas Stars. The road trip has gotten off on the right foot. Let's hope they can continue their winning ways.

Remember, the Ticket will not be streaming the whole game online today, so it's radio or bust.

LETS GO RAMPAGE!!!
