The Rampage return home after a roller coaster OT loss to the Texas Stars in Cedar Park on Friday night. After Texas scored 3 goals in the first 6:10 of the contest, chasing Matt Climie in the process, the Rampage fell behind 4-0 after 1 period of play. After a scoreless second period, which saw the Rampage amp up the physical play and get Texas a little out of sorts, the Rampage would get a huge opportunity early in the third. Texas RW Brandon Segal would be whistled for a 5 minute major for boarding, including a game misconduct, at the 3:53 mark of the 3rd. The Rampage would capitalize in a big way, scoring 3 goals over the course of the 5 minute power play. Just 102 seconds later, Bracken Kearns would tie the game and the Rampage would eventually take the lead on Jonas Ahnelov's second goal of the season with 3:34 left in the game.
The Stars, however, would respond by scoring with just 18 seconds left in regulation. Pulling the goalie is a low percentage situation, but it seems like the Rampage get burned almost every time they travel to CPC.  Early in the OT session, Jeff May would get called for a double minor for High Sticking. The penalty would prove costly as the Stars would score the OT winner on the power play, their first successful power play chance of the game.

Tonight, the Rampage return home to battle the last place Syracuse Crunch. The Crunch are playing the second of three straight contests in the state of Texas. Former Rampage netminder Josh Tordjman and the Houston Aeros shut down the Crunch in Houston last night, 3-1. Currently, the Rampage sit alone in 5th place, 2 points clear of both OKC and Chicago. The Rampage are just 2 points out of 3rd, but currently have 2 games in hand over both Texas and 4th place Peoria.

Tonight is "Faith and Family Night" at the ATT Center, so I promise to keep my cursing to a minimum and as quiet as possible. If Ray Edwards really wants me to behave, he'll give Max Goncharov a night off. See you all at the rink and LETS GO RAMPAGE!!
