The Houston Aeros and their high powered offense visit the ATT Center for the third time this season. The teams have split the first two meetings, with the Rampage winning the first game 3-2 and the Aeros taking the second meeting by a score of 7-5. The Aeros, and their collection of highly skilled rookies are currently 5th in the AHL in scoring at 3.5 goals per game. The benefit of all that rookie skill, however, comes at a price as they are also 24th in goals allowed per game (3.25).

Once again, tonight's game could come down to special teams play. The Aeros have a very good power play, converting on 21.5% of all power plays including a league best 29.5% on the road. The Rampage, meanwhile are 6th in the league on the PK, but have struggled recently, allowing 5 PPG over the recent five game skid, three in the 7-5 loss vs. the Aeros last week.

News and Notes:

- Jean-Francois Jacques, who has missed the last 4+ games (all losses) with a lower body injury, practiced this week and is expected to be back in the lineup.

- Alex Petrovic, however, has not practiced since leaving Sunday's game with an undisclosed injury. No timetable on how long he may be out. John Lee will fill in. This should help defensively, but could hurt the offense, specifically the power play.

- Before tonight's game, Houston sent Darcy Kuemper to ECHL Orlando and have recalled AHL vet John Curry.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday. I am thankful for my whole Rampage family. I have made some great friends because of Rampage hockey and I hope to make many more.

See you all at the rink and you know what to do...LETS GO RAMPAGE!

  1. 34th in goals allowed? I thought only the Rampage could pull a stat like that...
